Spay the Strays, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue serving Central Florida. Since our founding in 2006, we have helped more than 4,500 cats and kittens find loving forever homes.

Our work is made possible because of people who believe every cat deserves the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and loved life. We receive no government funding, and our rescue depends entirely on donations, volunteers, foster families, and the support of our community.

We currently care for cats and kittens in foster homes throughout Central Florida. Every day, our volunteers provide food, medical care, medications, supplies, transportation, and the individual attention these cats need while they wait for their forever homes.

When you donate to Spay the Strays, you are helping provide the resources needed to rescue cats, prepare them for adoption, and continue our mission of giving homeless and abandoned cats a second chance.

Where Your Donation Goes

Every donation to Spay the Strays helps provide the care our cats need while they are waiting for their forever homes.

From the moment a cat enters our rescue program until the day they are adopted, our volunteers work to provide medical care, safety, comfort, and the individual attention each cat deserves.

Your Donations Help Provide:

• Veterinary Care: Examinations, medical treatment, emergency care, and follow-up care when needed.
• Spay & Neuter: Helping ensure cats are altered before joining their forever families.
• Vaccinations & Testing: Age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV testing, and preventative care.
• Microchips: Permanent identification to help protect cats if they are ever lost.
• Medications & Treatments: Flea prevention, parasite treatment, antibiotics, and other medical needs.
• Food & Supplies: Quality nutrition, litter, bedding, cleaning supplies, and everyday care items.
• Foster Support: Providing foster families with the supplies and resources needed to care for their cats.

Because we are entirely volunteer-run, your donation goes directly toward helping cats. Every contribution, large or small, helps us continue rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for cats in need.

Become a Guardian Angel

Guardian Angels are supporters who provide ongoing help through recurring donations. Their continued support helps Spay the Strays provide the everyday care our cats need while they wait for their forever homes.

Through our online donation option, supporters can choose the schedule that works best for them, including weekly, monthly, or yearly recurring donations.

Recurring gifts provide dependable support for important needs such as veterinary care, food, litter, medications, and supplies for the cats in our rescue program.

A Guardian Angel donation does not need to be large to make a difference. Consistent support from our community helps us continue rescuing and caring for cats throughout Central Florida.
