GRANTS:

Grants give non-profits funds to continue their work.  Every time we receive grant money, Spay the Strays is able to help more cats through TNR to curb population control, helping making them adoptable cats through our Foster Program, treating medical issues in feral and foster kitties and so much more.  We thank all those who have continued to support Spay the Strays and our mission.

Below are some of the grants we have been honored to receive:

We were honored to be awarded a 2016 Spay and Neuter Grant from Florida Animal Friend. The funding for this grant is made possible by the purchase of Animal Friend Spay and Neuter vehicle license plates.
http://floridaanimalfriend.org/purchase-a-tag/   With this funding, we will be able to spay and neuter feral/community cats in Osceola County (Kissimme and St. Cloud), Florida.

Please consider purchasing this attractive license plate the next time you purchase or renew a license plate so that the good work of Florida Animal Friend can continue.

We were honored to receive a grant from the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation.  This grant was made possible through the sale of Build-A-Bear Workshop's full-sized Bearemy Kennel Pals.  One dollar from the sale of each plush animal in this line is donated through the Foundation to domestic pet programs including local animal shelters, stray pet rescues, rehabiliation organizations and pet education programs throughout the United States and Canada.

Spay the Strays is very fortunate to receive this grant, which was used for the purchase of FIV-Leukemia test kits to test the cats and kittens we have available for adoption.  We thank the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation for this grant, and we very much appreciate their support of our efforts.

Update on 2013 Florida Animal Friend License Plate Grant:

By the end of June 2013 we had spent all of the funding we received in a grant from the Florida Animal Friend license plate.  We spayed/neutered and released many cats and also placed many more in our foster and adoption program under this grant, helping reduce the feral cat population along the 192 corridor near the downtown Kissimmee area.  There is still much more work to be done in this area but we have made a significant difference over the past nine months as a result of this grant. We give great thanks to Florida Animal Friends for their support.

We also thank The Petco Foundation for providing funding for the payment of rabies and distemper shots and other medicines for many cats served under the Florida Animal Friends Grant.
